Finance Director

We are a Polish high-tech company that has been developing its proprietary real-time operating system, Phoenix-RTOS, for over 14 years. The system is designed for Edge-IoT devices and is used across sectors such as smart grids, aviation, space, and IIoT. Phoenix-RTOS has been commercially deployed in more than 1.6 million devices. We are currently in a phase of rapid growth, delivering innovative projects of high strategic importance to Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- develop and implement the company’s long-term financial strategy,
- provide financial guidance on key business decisions; prepare management reports and recommendations for the Board,
- prepare and monitor annual budgets and long-term financial plans,
- review contracts, agreements, and decisions for financial impact (TCO, indexation, currency rates, penalties),
- manage cash flow, optimize costs, and oversee tax strategy,
- identify, assess, and manage financial risks (currency, interest rate, credit),
- implement and supervise internal control systems,
- oversee preparation of financial statements and Group reporting,
- ensure accurate accounting of externally funded projects (EU, NCBiR), including cost eligibility and timely reporting,
- develop and maintain internal financial and accounting policies,
- liaise with banks, auditors, investors, grant intermediaries, and tax authorities,
- supervise accounting and grant settlement teams,
- ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations.
Our requirements:
- minimum 5 years of experience in a Finance Director role or an equivalent position,
- higher education (Finance, Accounting, Economics) and professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, or similar are a plus),
- practical knowledge in accounting, management accounting, budgeting, tax regulations, and controlling,
- experience in managing funded projects (e.g., from structural funds), including knowledge of eligible expenditure regulations,
- experience in cooperation with banks, investors, auditors, regulatory authorities, and tax offices,
- ability to combine strategic and operational perspectives,
- knowledge of the IoT industry,
- strong analytical and communication skills,
- fluent English at least on C1 level - ability to communicate freely and professionally.
