We are pleased to inform that the Polish Space Agency POLSA delegation to the USA participated in a workshop organized by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)!

Three days of intensive work and discussions resulted in the identification of specific areas of Polish entities' contribution to JPL (NASA) missions. Areas of competence were identified where Polish entities already have solutions that are competitive on a global scale and attractive to NASA, e.g. miniature measuring instruments, elements of robotics and automation, advanced system and analytical software, including those using artificial intelligence. Particularly attractive seems to be cooperation in missions to the Moon and Mars and the delivery of instruments, electronics and software for the mission as part of cooperation with NASA will open up opportunities for Polish companies to export to the American market on a commercial basis.

“The main field of activity of the Polish space sector is the programs of the European Space Agency ESA, but our companies are mature enough that they want to sell the technologies developed for the ESA mission on other continents. That is why this year we organized a visit to Chile and Argentina, next year we are planning one to Australia. Now we have taken a step towards entering the most difficult and demanding American market.” - said prof. Grzegorz Wrochna, the President of POLSA.

During the workshop, special attention was also paid to the possibilities of academic cooperation based on international agreements between Poland and the United States and its implementation through the exchange of students and researchers between Polish research centers and JPL.

The workshop was another step towards tightening cooperation between POLSA and NASA. In the coming months, further meetings of JPL experts with experts from research centers and space sector companies in Poland are planned, already as part of work on specific missions.

Phoenix Systems was represented by our CEO, Pawel Pisarczyk, who traveled in the excellent company of Polish scientists and representatives of space sector industry.
