Analyst / Quality Engineer (Aerospace Solutions Team)
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Salary: 16 000 - 20 000 PLN
Phoenix Systems is seeking an Analyst/Quality Engineer for the Aerospace Solution Team whose responsibility will be software quality and development processes assurance. Analyst will be mostly engaged in critical software certification processes according to DO-178C and ECSS-E-ST-40C software development standards.
Responsibilities:
- defining low-level and high-level requirements for Phoenix-RTOS operating system, drivers, extensions and applications,
- verification of the Company's products for compliance with technical and functional requirements, as well as ensuring that project procedures and processes adhere to DO-178C and ECSS-E-ST-40C standards,
- preparation of detailed documentation in compliance with DO-178C and ECSS-E-ST-40C standards, as well as reports on research and development activities, including verification plans, test documentation, and reports required for audits and the certification process,
- assessment and management of the project's risks,
- communication between teams during software development processes,
- ensuring the flow of information of project status and its compliance with standards to team members and stakeholders, especially in the form of visualizations of project progress, including the evolution of quality metrics,
- collaborating with certification bodies and auditors' representatives during the project compliance assessment phase,
- attendance on meetings and presentations for clients showcasing Company`s products compliance with DO-178C and ECSS-E-ST-40C standards,
- representing the company on meetings, conferences and fairs dedicated to the aerospace industry,
- supporting the audit and certification processes e.g. preparing reports and answering questions from certification authority,
- regular reporting of projects status and products compliance with DO-178C and ECSS-E-ST-40C standards.
Requirements:
- A degree in computer science, electronics, aerospace engineering, automation, mechatronics, or a related discipline,
- 5 years experience in critical software development projects with accordance to DO-178 or ECSS-E-ST-40C and ECSS-Q-ST-80C or PN-EN 61508,
- experience in formulating and developing high-level and low-level requirements for software applications,
- experience in the creation, analysis, and certification of software for critical applications,
- practical knowledge in using DO-178 or ECSS-E-ST-40C and ECSS-Q-ST-80C or PN-EN 61508,
- experience in conducting research activities and analyzing requirements across various sectors, including business, user, and regulatory domains,
- practical knowledge of the certification process for aerospace solutions,
- fluent English proficiency – confident communication skills (minimum C1 level),
- strong interpersonal skills, including communication, teamwork, independence, efficiency, creativity, diligence, and patience,
- good self-organization skills, with the ability to plan and set priorities effectively.
Nice to have:
- experience in research, academic, or research-and-teaching positions at scientific institutions or universities,
- scientific and research achievements, including authorship or co-authorship of scientific publications, will be an advantage,
- experience in the avionic, aerospace or space industry,
- experience with open-source or commercial tools for requirement definition and project requirement management,
- knowledge of open-source and commercial tools for static code analysis and formal code analysis,
- experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as Phoenix-RTOS, RTEMS, VxWorks,
- proficiency in the C programming language,
- familiarity with coding standards, such as MISRA C, and general guidelines from NASA/ESA/FAA (e.g. NASA/JPL: The power of 10: Rules for Developing Safety-Critical Code),
- understanding of operating system mechanism,
- knowledge of ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) systems.
